Expression: "Get the ball rolling"

Meaning: To start something

Example: suppose we r going to start a business then you can say

let’s get the ball rolling. Its means let’s start the business now.

Expression: "Sleep on it".

Meaning: to think about something by taking time.

Example:

Mr ‘X’:  would you like to go New York next week?????

Mr ‘Y’: I’ll let you know tomorrow; I have to sleep on it.

Explanation: when Mr. X proposed Mr. Y to have a tour at New

York, Mr. Y didn’t refused it rather he said,” he’ll(Y) let him(X)

know tomorrow because he(Y) has to think about that”.
